News for CHS Otaku Fest 2010:

CHS Otaku Fest returns for a second year

Ellicott City, MD October 16th, 2009 - Centennial High School Anime Club is pleased to announce that CHS Otaku Fest, the club's very own anime convention, is back. The convention will take place on April 24th, 2010 at Centennial High School in Ellicott City,MD.

This one day convention is a celebration of all things anime and Otaku. Our activities will include 1) Anime and Japanese movie screening 2) Discussion panels and workshops hosted by fans 3)Masquerade 4)AMV contest 5)Dealer's Area 6)Artist Alley 7)Video Game room and tournament 8) Karaoke Contest 9) Crazy Otaku Challenges (i.e. Ramen Eating Contest, Haruhi Dance Competition,etc) 10)Manga Library. Other events may be announced over time.

Those interested in attending, becoming a dealer, panelist, sponsor, selling your art,advertising with us or anything else please visit our website at chs-otakufest.com. Our Dealer, Artist Alley, and Attendee registration is already. They will be sold at a discounted rate until December 20th so sign up soon. About the Centennial High Anime Club and CHS Otaku Fest: This organization is an entirely high school based club with about 40 active members. The club has been an establishment in the school since 2005 and is gaining membership annually. It is a place for Otaku to gather and meet while relaxing and discussing anime and the community at large. Last year the club hosted our first convention and the club are looking forward to making this one even better.

Registration fee: $10 before December 20th and $15 after. There is a $3 discount to groups of 10 or more ($7 per person before 4/5/09 and $12 after 4/5/09). At-the-door registration is $20.
