News for EirtaKon 2009:
Ireland's EirtaKon announces Kevin Connolly as guest of honour
EirtaKon 09 is proud to announce Kevin M Connolly as this years Guest of Honour. Kevin is best known to anime fans for his leading roles in shows such as Rumbling Hearts and Suzuka, as well as the voice of Kain Fuery in fan favourite Full Metal Alchemist.
Kevin, who's father is from Roscommon, holds joint Irish and U.S. citizenship and thus is probably the only Irish citizen working in the anime industry. He has voiced many roles for FUNimation and ADV Films as well as writing scripts and working as an ADR Director. He is also a classically trained actor, stage performer, university lecturer and a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin.
The EirtaKon Committee looks forward to welcoming him back to Dublin and hosting him as our guest at this year's convention. We also encourage our attendees to make his trip and welcoming and memorable as possible.
Stay tuned for more info on attendee panels and events set to take place at Eirtakon 09, being hosted once again at The Hub in Dublin City University, a premier event facility located in the heart of Dublin.
