News for SITACon 2008:

SITACon 2008 announces two more musical guests and cosplay chess

UTICA, NY ( 1 October 2008 ) - SITACon 2008 would like to announce that ARMCANNON and the LeetStreet Boys will be playing live shows at this years Event. ARMCANNON will do mind melting performances of classic nintendo and other games of our past, they will be performing Saturday ( Oct. 11th ) at 1pm. The LeetStreet Boys will be making a special acoustic performance on Sunday ( Oct. 12th) at noon, two members will be attending the con and we look forward to both performances and hope that you do as well!!

Cosplay Chess will be making it's first appearance at SITACon this year, we know everyone involved will make it a fun first event that will show it's presence at future events. We look forward to seeing everyone at the convention!

ABOUT ARMCANNON:
Armcannon plays original arrangements of a variety of nostalgic and (for lack of a better word) awesome music. Each piece is intricately arranged and have been described as "orchestral" on more than one occasion. But don't let that description fool you, as an Armcannon show is not a black tie affair. Besides brute musicianship, the secondary factor in contrast to a serious or orchestral feel is something missing from most live performances, fun.

ABOUT LEETSTREET BOYS:
LeetStreet Boys are excited to perform a unique "unplugged" show at SITAcon! The band has reached video game, anime and music enthusiasts around the globe with their catchy musical hooks, clever lyrics, and explosive energy. With their popular single and music video "Yuri The Only One" a mainstay on the anime convention circuit, YouTube and Video Games Live, LeetStreet Boys not only wear their hearts on their collective sleeves, but deliver an epic musical experience for fans everywhere!

ABOUT SITACON:
SITACon was an idea that came from the SUNYIT Anime Club after realizing that there was a lack of anime in the Central New York region. In 2006 they put on their first event which was a huge success for the area. SITACon will return to the State University of New York Institute of Technology this Fall for October 10th through the 12th. We will have a plethora of programming appealing to many people, we look forward to having a fun event supporting anime in the Central New York area. The first anime convention of Central New York returns!
