News for Florida Supercon 2007:

Four new guest announcements from Florida Supercon

Fort Lauderdale, FL - FLORIDA SUPERCON would like to announce the addition of four more guests for the June 22-24, 2007 show, including; Anime voice actor & musician: Chris Patton, Musical Group: PLID, Actor: Michael Winslow and Writer: Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc.

Chris Patton has been acting since early childhood, and voice acting for ADV Films and Funimation for eight years. He has voiced over 100 anime titles and played hundreds of characters. He is also co-front man of an electropop/ebm band called PLID. Patton is most-often associated with his character "Greed" in Fullmetal Alchemist and "Sousuke Sagara" from the Full Metal Panic series, but his more "hardcore" fans tend to associate his voice with "Sasame" from Pretear, "Ayato" from RahXephon, or "Fakir" from Princess Tutu. For many years, Chris was known as the "go-to" voice actor for the "angsty pretty boy" roles, but has since had a chance to branch out into voicing all form of psychotic villains, and in some cases normal guys as well.

PLID is an electro/synth/pop-glam band from Houston, Texas, formed by Chris Patton, Frank Ortiz, and Eric Dano in 2004. In it's inception, PLID's goal was to simply be a studio band, banging out rough and dirty electrosynth beats and soundscapes to make people dance from the comfort of their home studio. They never intended to play live until a major label act found them on MySpace and asked them to open for them in 2006. Since then, PLID has developed a bombastic live show, focused on energizing and tantalizing their audiences, all the while keeping their tight harmonies and addictive hooks intact.

Rounding out these guest additions are Michael Winslow (Star of the Police Academy movies, Gremlins and Spaceballs) plus Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc (Writer of Michael, The Two, Man of Two Worlds, Darkness Decends and more.)
