Anime South announces guests
Destin, Florida - July 11, 2006 - Anime South is pleased to announce 4 guests for its second year convention on November 3-5, 2006 at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. Voice actor Vic Mignogna - who has dubbed anime series such as "Fullmetal Alchemist", "Neon Genesis Evangelion", and "Dragonball Z"- has graciously accepted our invitation to be a Guest of Honor this year. In addition, Chris Patton, who has has been a voice actor in shows such as the just newly re-released "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross", "Gantz", and "Fullmetal Alchemist", will also honor us with his presence for the upcoming convention.
Musical guests this year will include The Mindless Tripod Experience, an accordian rock band that is inspired by and parodies anime. Our feature webcomic artist is Chris Hazelton of misfile.com and building12.net fame.
Anime South is a convention celebrating Japanese animation and manga. It is being held Friday, November 3rd, through Sunday, November 5th at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, located on the the lovely beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
Anime South will be offering 2 theater rooms showing the latest anime from Japan, a costume contest, anime music videos, discussion panels, video game tournaments, an Artists' Alley, a large vendors room with anime and manga related merchandise, and karaoke. Registration is currently available online for $29.95 until July 21st at animesouth.com. We highly recommend staying at the resort hotel, with whom the convention has arranged a limited number of suites at a special $99 per night convention rate (please use the code AMS).
