Anaheim, California (March 2, 2006) -- The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) announces open online pre-registration and payment for Anime Expo 2006 (AX2006) attendee badges starting March 2, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. PST. The 15th year anniversary convention will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center July 1-4, 2006. More information is available at http://www.anime-expo.org.

The AX2006 Online Registration system will not only allow people to pre-register for the convention well in advance, but it will also provide attendees who do so at a cheaper rate and assist in shortening wait times in lines as badges will be mailed out in advance. Paper mail-in forms for pre-registration will not be accepted and attendees that are unable to pre-register online will be able to register onsite during the convention during the 4th of July weekend.

To prohibit illegal replication and duplication of attendee badges, the key security feature will be the distribution of highly unique and hard to duplicate badge-holders and an un-replicable chemical varnish printed on ALL badge vouchers.

Attendees can also reserve their rooms online at: www.anaheimoc.org/housing.html by utilizing the access code of "ANIME". Host hotel codes are as follows:
