Mizu Con announces 2011 guests of honor

Miami, FL, December 27, 2010 - Mizu Con is honored to announce that popular voice actors and will be joining us as guests of honor for our 2011 show!

Todd Haberkorn
American actor, director, producer and writer Todd Haberkorn will be a guest at Mizu Con. A self-proclaimed anime fan, he has played lead and supporting roles in a number of programs and also produces a weekly podcast with Leah Clark called Popcast Weekly.

Todd Haberkorn received his BFA in acting from Southern Methodist University and works professionally primarily in Texas and surrounding states as an actor, director, producer, and writer. As far as shows go, you can catch Todd's voice as lead roles in Sgt. Frog as Keroro, Suzuka as Yamato, Ghost Hunt as Naru, Claymore as Raki, Holic as Wataknuki, D. Gray Man as Allen Walker, Sands of Destruction as Kyrie, and Soul Eater as Death the Kid. Among his supporting roles are Itsuki in Shuffle, Ichimoruken in Hell Girl, Firo in Baccano!, Kono in Darker Than Black, Hikaru in Ouran High School Host Club and Khoza in One Piece.
When not doing voice work, Todd is a producer with his company, Out of the Office Productions. Todd Haberkorn is currently a proud member of the anime community and continues to be its humble servant by way of English dubbing. Todd is represented by The Horne Agency.

Lisa Ortiz
Lisa Ortiz is an American theatre and voice actress that holds a BFA in theatre from Hofstra University, and is best known for her roles in English anime adaptations. She is perhaps best known for the roles of the high-elf Deedlit in Record of Lodoss War, Lina Inverse in Slayers, and Tony Tony Chopper in One Piece. Her extensive résumé also includes the role of Amy Rose in Sonic X, and Serenity Wheeler in Yu-Gi-Oh!. She has voiced Amy Rose in the Sonic the Hedgehog series of video games from Shadow the Hedgehog. Lisa is also known for her extensive dialects that she brings to each role.

About Mizucon
Mizu Con is an annual convention based on Japanese animation and the many sub-genres of anime. Mizu Con will be held on August 19 - 21, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Miami, located in Miami, Florida. Mizu Con will feature many of the festivities found at most Anime conventions. Events will include interesting and informative panels, Anime DVD screenings, live action movies, video gaming and even an Anime music video showcase! Mizu Con will also host an Artist Alley where local artists may showcase and sell their artwork and crafts. In addition there will be a cosplay contest, special guests, a dealer's room and much more! With over 30 years combined staffing and running Anime conventions, we hope to bring a quality show to the community annually and with community support we will be able to achieve our goal.
