AnimeCons.com Podcast Contest: Identify the program guides and win a DVD

The person who can correctly identify the most items in our backdrop will win an autographed DVD

Boston, MA -- AnimeCons.com, recognized by convention planners and guests as the leading source for news and information about anime conventions, is holding a contest to promote the AnimeCons TV Podcast.

In January 2010, the AnimeCons.com Podcast upgraded its studio set with a new backdrop made up of program guides, flyers, and convention newsletters. Conventions represented on the backdrop go as far back as 1996 and span more than five time zones. While some large conventions are included, a number of smaller conventions and some defunct conventions also appear on the backdrop.

A contest was announced in the February 2010 episode of the AnimeCons TV Podcast in which the person who could correctly identify the most items on the backdrop would win a Shuffle DVD autographed by voice actor Todd Haberkorn. The contest ends Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 11:59pm EDT.

The entire backdrop may be seen here:

Entries should include the entrant's name and e-mail address as well as a list of each convention (and year) appearing on the backdrop. All correct guesses will earn the entrant one point. Incorrect guesses will cost the entrant one point. Guesses that only list a convention with no year will be worth zero points. The entrant with the most points will be considered the winner. In the event of a tie, the first entry received among all entries included in the tie will be considered the winner.

Entries may be submitted using our contact form.

The contest is only open to residents of the United States. Entrants under 18 years of age should get a parent's permission before entering. Winners will be notified via e-mail on or before Wednesday, March 31, 2010. AnimeCons.com reserves the right to modify these rules at any time without notice. The winner's name may be used by AnimeCons.com for promotional purposes and will also be announced in the AnimeCons.com Podcast for April 2010.
