Biography:
David Wise started working for a newly formed video game company called Rare - in the late 1980's as their in-house composer. Before then, he had been working at a music retailer in Leicester in the United Kingdom and playing keyboards in local bands. By the 1990's David and the team at Rare were working on games for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

David composed iconic video game soundtracks including: Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2, Battletoads, Diddy Kong Racing on the N64, and Starfox Adventures on the Gamecube to name only a few.

David left Rare at the end of 2009, to continue working as a freelance contractor, on games such as Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for Nintendo. This was followed by several additional titles on the Switch.

He continues to compose video game music today, and has gotten to perform and lecture at Universities worldwide.
