Elise Vézina-Easey
Artist
Canada
Biography:
Born in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, Elise Vézina-Easey loves graphic arts and comic strips. She once believed herself destined for a graphic design career after obtaining a diploma in multimedia integration, but she quickly changed her mind as soon as she set foot in the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO), where she rekindled her love of drawing and got her bachelor degree with specialization in comics. At the same time, all by herself, she published her first comic book, Corps étranger, that got her special acknowledgements at the 2011 graduation. That work of art gives a good feeling of what Elise likes to draw: a universe inhabited by cute little colorful characters. Since Corps étranger came out, Elise participated in various events, such as the Ottawa and Montreal Comiccons and contributed to the collectiveRoyaume animal, published by Éditions TRIP.
Do not miss your chance to rediscover her peculiar world in 2013 when Elise's new comic book, Kakó , will be published by Éditions TRIP.
