Biography:
Born in 1972, John Oppliger began watching anime at an early age in the late 1970s - Battle of the Planets, Starblazers. Fascinated by Robotech and Voltron in the mid 1980s, John started seeking and watching imported, Japanese language anime.
Through the AnimeNation website, "Ask John" Oppliger has been answering international fan questions about anime and manga and promoting "otaku" culture since 1999. He was also involved in AN Entertainment's acquisition, translation, and release of the Risky Safety, Miami Guns, and Haré + Guu anime television series on American DVD. John's first anime-inspired novel will tentatively see publication next year.
