The University of Waterloo's Club That Really Likes Anime is celebrating its twentieth year with public screenings of anime dedicated to the history and growth of the anime culture. Anime ranging from the famous to the niche, this event will include a cosplay cafe, games, anime-themed activities, tournaments, contests, music, food, and family-friendly fun. Open to the public, and free admission.
Dubbed "CTRL-A," the Club That Really Likes Anime has been a cultural mainstay in the Kitchener-Waterloo region since its formation in 1991, and continues to demonstrate and encourage the passion of local anime fans, locally and internationally. Primarily a social club, there are a variety of events centered around promoting the Japanese anime subculture, such as showings, gaming nights, club projects, hotpot, karaoke, and cosplay contests.
