My department heads and I are still very pleased with the turnout we had for Mikkakan 2001 and we'd like to thank everyone who made it a success, especially the fans.
We promised ourselves, after Mikkakan 2001, that the following year's convention would be bigger and better. Due to scheduling issues that can't be resolved to our satisfaction we simply cannot bring you the Mikkakan 2002 that we feel you deserve. That is why we are postponing the convention until the summer of 2003. We will begin announcing details as soon as they become available. Preliminary plans call for a late June 2003 date, tripling our capacity in the Main Events room, and adding some new features that were hinted at on the forums. (Art Show, Extended Karaoke, a game show, etc.)
