News for DotCon 2009:

DotCon announces events and guests

Toronto, October 14th 2009 - Become part of the fan-run revolution and join Dotcon 2009, a two-day convention focusing on popular media, arts and culture from across Asia. Running November 13th and 14th at the Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Airport, this year's convention focuses on music, fashion, cosplay and anime.

"Dotcon is a small convention with big ideas," says Dotcon's Liaison Director. "It is an event that promotes understanding and appreciation of Asian traditions by celebrating its popular culture, media and entertainment. It is also growing due to the support of everyone who attends. We would not be anywhere without that support"

A Special "Blackout" party, featuring DJ and Japanese fashion designer icon, Takuya Angel, kicks off Dotcon on November 13th at 8:30PM. On Saturday night, fans of Takuya Angel will have the chance to view his fashion collection in a Special TorontoDecaDANCE.

Japanese Voice Actor Mizushima Takahiro and North American Voice Actress Wendy Powell will also be appearing at the convention this year. Mizushima Takahiro is most popular for the voice of Rollo Lamperouge in "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2" . Wendy Powell is best known for her work in "Full Metal Alchemist" as the voice of Envy.

From cosplay to anime, Dotcon has something for everyone interested in Asian pop-culture and art, including cosplay contests, screenings, a live concert and much, much more.

Dotcon is run by fans for fans, and offers numerous fun events geared towards bringing enthusiasts closer together. Dotcon's goal is also to promote culture and get fans involved in the community through a number of charity endeavors.
