Biography:
Eric is a native of Texas. He moved from San Antonio to Florida, where he attended Pensacola Junior College majoring in business. He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia to focus on television and video productions. He completed several certificate courses with People Television and Comcast Television certifying in television production, directing, and video camera/audio/light technique while in Georgia. After Hurricane Ivan, he returned to the panhandle and began his career as a photojournalist.
He operates Focus Pointe Productions, which includes the Underground FX Lab, Productionrigs.com and S.L.A.V.E. Magazine (Script, Lighting, Audio, Video and Editing) He has produced several state and national PSA's, a documentary, and the Okaloosa/ Walton Emergency Preparedness Conference for the Florida State Disability Task Force, which is distributed widely in the State of Florida, the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA. He has been a video operator for several video productions such as: Rage in the Cage (Biloxi, MS.), Destin Wine Festival, Billy Bowlegs Festival, The Greek Festival (Fort Walton), Habitat for Humanity and the ADA Torch Relay.
His passion for FX started over five years ago and has always been inspired by the SyFy channel's Face Off. Like others before him, he is a self-taught FX Artist. He has spent hours in his garage making monsters. His creations are now being sought after. He has recently been published in the Daily News and the Pensacola News Journal (which went to the Associated Press). Recently did all the FX for the Movie "Lost Souls and will soon be working on another film.
Along with his television producer workshops, he started an Underground FX Lab, where he has now started instructing others in the fine art of zombie makings, blood, scars, masks, mold making, sculpting and more.
